Agents can now query a public x402 catalog; card networks started shared agent-identity work. Listing count is still not demand.
Two sourced developments matter today. Circle made Agent Marketplace inventory queryable without a key, so an agent can filter payable USDC services and read the payment contract before it pays. Separately, Visa, Mastercard and Ant International began Know-Your-Agent interoperability work aimed at recognising trusted consumer agents across cards and wallets. Builders should watch whether agents can complete discover → understand → select → pay → verify → reuse on live endpoints, not whether another catalog exists.
