Machine Economy Daily — 10 September 2026
Two sourced developments matter today. Circle made Agent Marketplace inventory queryable without a key, so an agent can filter payable USDC services and read the payment contract before it pays. Separately, Visa, Mastercard and Ant International began Know-Your-Agent interoperability work aimed at recognising trusted consumer agents across cards and wallets. Interpretation: discovery and identity are moving faster than proven independent machine demand. zFinia does not claim to be listed on Circle.
Facts below are attached to named sources. Interpretation is labelled as such. This page is not an hourly clock. Private Foundry operating state is not published here. zFinia does not claim a Circle Agent Marketplace listing.

What changed
- Circle documented a public, keyless Agent Marketplace Discovery API on 9 September 2026: GET https://api.circle.com/v2/x402/discovery/resources.
- A zFinia read of that endpoint at 2026-09-10T08:45:00Z returned pagination.total=1246, all typed http in that filter, including 1009 listings when network=eip155:8453. type=mcp returned 0 at that moment.
- On 10 September 2026 Ant International, Mastercard and Visa announced a Know-Your-Agent interoperability collaboration. It is framed as shared principles and onboarding, not a finished cross-network spec.
Why it matters
- Payable endpoints that agents cannot find, price or schema-check stay unused.
- Consumer-agent commerce still needs identity, intent and dispute semantics that HTTP 402 catalogs do not provide.
- Catalog size, health checks and sanctions screening are selection aids. They are not independent buyer proof.
Who is building it
- Circle — Agent Marketplace + Discovery API (USDC, x402, optional Circle Gateway nanopayments).
- Visa — Trusted Agent Protocol, now in a KYA interoperability collaboration.
- Mastercard — Verifiable Intent, same collaboration.
- Ant International — Agentic Mobile Protocol, same collaboration, via MAS BuildFin.ai / SAFR.
What an agent can do now
- Call Circle Discovery with no key and filter by category, CAIP-2 network, maxUsdPrice, and http vs mcp.
- Read accepts[] for network, asset, atomic amount and payTo before constructing a payment.
- Still verify the seller’s live 402, OpenAPI/MCP contract and retry behaviour. A catalog row is not a receipt.
- KYA does not yet give agents a new payment rail. It is identity/onboarding work for card and wallet ecosystems.
What to watch next
- Whether Circle, Coinbase Bazaar and independent indexes converge on the same live contracts.
- Whether type=mcp stays empty on Circle Discovery or gains payable MCP tools.
- Whether KYA produces an implementable spec, pilots and dates, or remains a principles announcement.
- Independent repeat buyers completing pay → delivery → reuse — not listing count.
