Google publishes the AP2 specification in an open GitHub repo
Mandate-based agent authorization is now a readable spec, not only a keynote.
The google-agentic-commerce/AP2 repository publishes the Agent Payments Protocol specification, including agent authorization. This is maintainer evidence of an implementation surface distinct from x402 HTTP headers.
Why it matters
Spec repos are how machine buyers evaluate a rail. AP2’s mandate model will not parse as an x402 PAYMENT-REQUIRED header.
